Internet access

To use wireless network at Uppsala University, we recommend that you configure your computer to use eduroam as it will give the best connection. Most large universities in Sweden and Europe are connected to eduroam. Ask your IT department for more information if needed. If you are not eligible to use eduroam, send a request to ssba2010 (at) cb.uu.se and we will arrange a temporary UpUnet-S account for you.

Airport transportation

From Arlanda you can choose three modes of transportation (taxi, bus or train) in order to get to Uppsala.

• Taking a taxi costs around 450 SEK and they can usually be found just outside the terminal. (30 min)
• The bus number is 801 (yellow bus) and a ticket costs 100 SEK. The timetable can be found here. (50 min)
• There are two types of trains. Either Upptåget or SJ. The cost is about the same, 130 SEK. (30-40 min)

Local transportation

Time tables for the local bus lines can be found at www.ul.se. From the central station (Centralstationen) there are three bus lines (20,110,115) that will take you to the bus stop (Polacksbacken) closest to the conference. A ticket costs 30 SEK when bought onboard the bus and 20 SEK if bought using SMS or a ticket machine.

Walking
